I am not opposed to congestion-based tolls on roads and freeways, but only in lieu of the gas tax.

Taxing us on an annual mileage or efficiency basis is just stupid.</description>

		<description>This type of legislation, as opposed to the asinine proposal for a &quot;gas tax holiday&quot;, would actually serve to curb the profits of oil companies and to reduce the amount of people driving on the highways.

Since user fee increases for cars will actually help solve many of our problems with congestion, pollution, and alleged financial shortages - I predict that this proposal will either die in the Senate or be vetoed by the Governor.

No good idea goes unpunished in California so, Asm. Fuerer, get ready for the auto dealers and the gas companies to try and kick you butt out of office when you next run for office.</description>
