How conveinent that former Speaker Fabian Nunez who is a very close friend of Mayor Villaraigosa is asking for someone else to step down for THEIR screw up!

Wasn't the mayor doing nothing when the money was being raided? Wasn't the ASSemblyman suppose to lead the charge in lobbying the region together?

you think a dude with a moustache like that got to where he is, by retiring every time someone from the house asked him to?

"demanding" someone step down is lame political theater.

and, isn't it snob(le)?

Why are democrats so in love with building highways?!

When I worked in the Assembly, I was shocked at how pro-road subsidy the democrats are, yet when it comes to other types of transportation projects, they laugh you out of the room.

Bring up cycling, and you're not even going to get an appointment to meet with them.

We've got a couple of harsh pro-density planning laws passed in recent years - to force local entities to stop sprawl (because it is expensive to maintain).

Yet, these ass hats want to keep on building highways to empty land, and widen existing highways.

If Snoble has messed up by missing out on highway construction funds, good for him. The last thing we need are more highways. What we need are fewer drivers on the road.

The proven methods of getting drivers of the road include: lowering speed limits, reducing the carrying capacity on roads, installing transit infrastructure at the expense of car movement, and generally making the right-of-way people centric (not auto-centric).
