With a little more work, perhaps we can get a Bike Plan meeting held on the Eastern side of L.A. It would be a great coming-together of groups whose interests connect over transportation policy. Those groups would include: local business interests, safe routes to school people, elderly folks, bicyclists, and clean air and environmental justice types. If it doesn't happen, I think we're going to convene our own meetings - and see to it that the General Plan's "Measurement and Evaulation" section is modified to suit our interests.
