So THIS is why our little video has been getting so many hits...I showed this at a Transportation/Planning/Parking Town Hall meeting in Hollywood organized by the six Hollywood-area neighborhood councils on Thursday night. Well thanks for the coverage. Yes, our community is multi-modal and hopefully we can set an example for the rest of the City. We have Governing Board members who take the Metro to work and even some (like myself) who walk or even ride their bikes to our meetings. Like I said at the meeting, "This is Hollywood, not Mission Viejo, where you have to drive 20 minutes just to get from your house to the freeway!" The Planning Department has the authority to do this, though it would restrict the City from getting transportation money from the County, State, and Federal government to do any construction to see that LOS is reduced.
