		<description>One thing I&#039;d like to see is a bicycle-sponsored wing of the ITE (Institue of Transportation Engineers). These are the guys who set the guidelines that are used by transportation engineers around the country. If you take a look at how they measure roadways - all they care about is car throughput.

Maybe cycling interests can hook up with some New Urbanists, and develop a couple of easy-to-understand sample zoning ordinances and roadway performance measurements that will favor cycling.

These techincal changes really make a big difference.</description>
